Amanda Cey
Ms. Cey brings ten years of experience working in both the corporate and private sectors in the areas of public relations, marketing and sales.
Amanda shares her drive and competitive nature with her father Ron Cey, Los Angeles Dodgers homerun record holder, co-MVP of the 1981 World Series and six-time All Star. She benefits equally from the strong personal skill set she inherited from her mother, social worker and business owner Fran Cey.
Amanda began her studies at the University of Wisconsin at Madison on a tennis scholarship. Wanting to focus more intently on her education and to be closer to her family in Southern California, she transferred to UC Santa Cruz where she completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology.
After college Amanda worked in the music and entertainment industry, gaining exposure to public relations and contract negotiation. As a public relations firm account executive she worked for clients including David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Marilyn Manson, the Smashing Pumpkins and Fleetwood Mac. She served as operations manager and personal assistant for country music legend, Dwight Yoakam. After stints in litigation and intellectual property law as a paralegal, Amanda found herself drawn back to her true passion, social networking and event planning. She headed the marketing and advertising division for Vessel, a luxury nightclub in downtown San Francisco’s Union Square, before becoming their private and corporate events manager.
