We hired Amanda Cey of ABCey Events to produce and manage the Home Away From Homelessness "Reaching for the Stars" 2011 Annual Gala. This was by far the best gala that we have had to date and we have received incredible feedback from our guests about every element of the event. Amanda seemlessly managed over 15 board members, 20+ volunteers, and over 20 vendors all which she chose very carefully to fit the Home Away feel and theme. We were told the meal was the best anyone has ever had at this type of fundraising event, the decor was impeccable with beautiful bright floral centerpieces and colorful star cut-outs, hand crafted giant blocks for the entrance that spelled "Home Away," and the production for the Oscar style ceremony ran smoothly. The music throughout the evening was perfect as well. Amanda also put together an incredible team for the Silent Auction and Live Auction, which helped us raise close to $150,000 for the organization. I worked with ABCey for my company's holiday party this past December. It was the first time that I used an outside event planner for this type of event.
